Yesterday was spent at the NECN/American Red Cross Blood Drive, and what an amazing success it was. Our goal was 2008 units (pints) of donated blood regionwide, and we hit 2,676 pints! Considering each unit of blood can be split to help up to three people, the potential number of people whose lives are bettered, improved and saved, totals 8,028...all from one day of combined efforts. THANK YOU to all those of you who showed up and donated!
As for the weather discussion, I mentioned the blood drive but should have been clearer that I would be there from 5 AM to 8 PM so wouldn't have a chance to update yesterday. Today has been a busy day here at NECN and I'm running out the door immediately for a public appearance...but will issue a discussion late this afternoon or evening, when I return home.
My apologies for the inconvenience, and I'm looking forward to getting my thoughts on the Friday storm out later today. Check out the forecast page, though, for my latest thinking and a link to my latest video from NECN.
Thanks!
Matt
