You visited Hopedale last year and the kids are watching your live streaming video and then running to the TV to see what you are doing on there! Great for everyone to see how you are a scientist and a TV personality.

It's about time, Matt. Marblehead's first bonafide thunderstorm of the summer. Lightning arrived well after dark; very infrequent but complex and some were vivid. There was one cg about half mile to the south that included a crawler that stretched south to nw. The crawler came first followed by a very brief pause then the finale - a parallel strike that hooked to the ground - a brilliant white with several return strokes. Loud thunder like banging a drum in quick succession. Awesome! I didn't think such a storm could produce such a dramatic and complicated strike. Later, another discharged farther and to the sw produced thunder that lasted at least 30 seconds. Rainfall on the 16th was 0.36 with 0.34 ( light-moderate ) from the night-time activity. It's about time!

Matt:
This live stream is a great idea! As a weather buff, I find most local on-air weather segments too short for my weather fix. This behind-the-scenes look from an inside expert is a nice compliment... especially, when there is severe weather around.
