Explosive fire growth potential resulted in some brush fires today...likely caused by lack of common sense yet again. Today, examine the reason why I think the media should take Red Flag Warnings just as seriously as any other warnings. Meanwhile, it's HOT! Record hot! A downsloping wind and air that previously had set records for heat in the Western and Central United States arrived to New England today and bumped temperatures above their 1990 record maximum values in many spots. What happens next in New England weather?

The Ride Home - Friday, April 10, 2009 - Episode #15
Together we take a look at the Easter Holiday weekend...in the midst of cutting down trees in my backyard. Since I hardly own any trees...I only have to cut down four (wimp). There are some folks still cleaning up from the December Ice Storm in New England that have dozens to tend to. One note! Though my head was MOSTLY in the game, I failed to mention in this clip something I mentioned on-air - the potential for Saturday AM snow! I don't think there will be a lot, but enough cold air advects south on a northeast wind to change rain showers to snow showers from Southern ME to Central/Southern NH and Northern MA. Total accumulations should be limited to a coating on grassy surfaces in these areas, while at least a few snowflakes are possible as far south as the South Shore of MA during Saturday!.
