For an explanation of these maps, click here to read the post from Friday afternoon, but the way to interpret these maps are the percent of communities within the shaded area that will see rain. That is, in an 80% area, 80% of the towns will likely see a shower.
High chance of showers does not mean rain all day, just a high likelihood of seeing a shower or downpour come through. Admittedly, a light steering wind in the atmosphere means some downpours that develop may be slow-moving over harder hit communities.
