NOVEMBER 27, 2007 - PAGE SCHOOL, WEST NEWBURY, MA

This was my second year in a row visiting the fifth graders at the Page School, and this group continues to impress! Hats off to both teachers and students, and especially Mrs. Marsh who's done such a wonderful job of introducing these students to the weather and the world around us. We covered everything from cumulonimbus clouds to wind chill to the jet stream - pretty amazing for a fifth grade group!

NOVEMBER 16, 2007 - COMPREHENSIVE GRAMMAR SCHOOL, METHUEN, MA

It was a wonderful midday shared with the pre-K, Kindergarten and first graders at the "CGS" school in Methuen! Set up by CGS parent and State Senator Steven Baddour, our visit focused on seasons, different types of weather, and of course, included some time for making our very own lightning!

NOVEMBER 15, 2007 - COMMUNITY ACTION INCORPORATED FUNDRAISER, HAVERHILL, MA

I had the pleasure of emceeing the recent Fundraiser for Community Action Incorporated, serving not only as Master of Ceremonies but also live auctioneer for a few great items including an electric go-kart, two round trip tickets on Southwest Air, Celts tickets and a weekend stay in the Lakes Region of NH! Not only was this a great group of people, but Community Action Incorporated is a non-profit, non-government group that serves those in need, and the Haverhill group covers the Greater Haverhill, Amesbury and Newburyport areas. The Fashion Show Fundraiser is one of the many necessary money makers for this group - along with private donations and grants - to provide services like The Women, Infants & Children program; Head Start; Family Day Care; Adult Learning Center; Home Buying and Rental Management Programs; Heating Assistance and Consumer Protection just to name a few. NOVEMBER 13, 2007 - GOLDEN HILL SCHOOL, HAVERHILL, MA

It was back to my hometown of Haverhill to visit with the fourth grade at Golden Hill - a group of kids with some great questions about weather and about my job in television. Great to meet you, kids, and be sure to say hi if you see me around town!

NOVEMBER 8, 2007 - BAGNALL SCHOOL, GROVELAND, MA

This trip to the Bagnall School was to visit with my friends in the fifth grade - many of whom I met a couple of years ago when I visited their class then!  Today we expanded on what we talked about then, getting more in-depth about severe weather and science - they are, after all, so much older and wiser now!!

This friendly group of first graders brought lots of enthusiasm and wonderfully warm, friendly smiles to our chat about the weather. Thanks for being so welcoming, gang!

NOVEMBER 1, 2007 - PINE HILL SCHOOL, SHERBORN, MA

Now HERE'S an excited group of fifth graders! The Pine Hill School has become a perennial visit for me and every year the students are exceptionally friendly, warm, and intelligent! Way to go Pine Hill, and it was great talking weather together!
