It was another day of teaming up with the Dana Farber Cancer Institute's SunSafe Program to spread the word about healthy sun habits and protecting ourselves from potential harm from the sun's ultraviolet rays. Led by Dana Farber's Martha Young, the SunSafe team shared the importance of sunblock application, and the ABCs of sun protection - Avoid, Block, Cover Up and Say Something. I reinforced some of these important ideas, and made a deal with the students - if they agreed to put on sunblock regularly, not to argue when someone tells them to put it on, and to wear sunglasses as often as possible, I would put them on TV and on the web. There were a few who were unwilling to make the deal, believe it or not, so they're not included in this video. So...CONGRATULATIONS to the kids who were willing to make a promise to wear sunblock and sunglasses, and here you are, as promised, for all the world to see! Remember...you have to take care of yourself and stay healthy in order to be successful!
