The national Poetry Out Loud competition is a big part of the school year for the students at CATA, and the readers came with plenty of passion...after plenty of practice!
My wife, Jessica, and I headed north to Okemo Mountain in Ludlow, Vermont for the last day of January - and what an amazing weekend it was for skiing! The Green Mountain State hasn't seen a raindrop in the entire state for over a month - it's been only snow! And the conditions reflected the remarkable winter weather, with what was honestly among the best snow conditions I've ever skied in. With sunshine and temperatures in the 20s, we couldn't have asked for anything more.
Our experience at Okemo began and ended with smiles - from the
employees and staff, to the faces of the friends we met up with, who
were equally thrilled with the conditions. View the video and come along with Jessica and me as we carve some turns, ride the lift, check out the moguls, dodge the trees and wrap up the day by relaxing at The Loft, at the base of the mountain.
