My annual visit to the Pine Hill School in Sherborn, MA, never fails to deliver on lots of excitement from a great group of students - this year was certainly no exception to the rule!
And...see the actual weathercast the kids appeared on NECN in!
The Page School in West Newbury, MA, showed me a great time, and had some fantastic questions about staying safe during thunderstorms - thanks for a wonderful morning together!
We had an early start together, but that didn't stop the second grade from putting their thinking caps to work, remembering all they'd learned this school year about weather - thanks for a great time, everyone! As the busy summer season begins, the Coolidge School was my last school visit of the 2009-10 academic year - what a wonderful year it's been, as I visited about 10,000 school children this year alone. Looking forward to seeing so many more of you next school year!!
The gang was all here for some fun - first through fifth grade hung out with me at the Cleveland School, and we had a blast! ;Here, the third, fourth and fifth grade show off their enthusiasm for my HD camera - and now they're superstars!
The students at the Burgess School are always a super-friendly bunch, and many of them were regular participants in the Weekly Weather Word Contest, when I used to do weather in the mornings!
The fifth through eighth grades welcomed me to the beautiful campus of the Glen Urquhart School, and chose to learn more about lightning - thanks for a great time!
The students looked great in their school uniforms, and chose their own adventure by electing to learn about lightning - a force of nature some five times hotter than the surface of the sun - great to see you, gang!
The fifth grade and I were talking storms while outside the sun was shining and temperatures were soaring to near 80! We had a great time and made sure to save time for a group picture at the end. Thanks for having me, gang!
I always have a wonderful time with the students at the Little School, and since I have a black lab (their Mascot), always feel at home - especially with the great school umbrella I got as a gift from the first graders - thanks, everyone!
