Daily Forecast: Coldest Air of the Season Precedes a Pleasant Thanksgiving

After more than 230 days, Boston dropped to the freezing mark of 32° Tuesday morning as the coldest air of the season takes hold for New England - but milder air is expected for the Thanksgiving Day holiday. Today (Tuesday):  Biting cold wind with sun. Highs near 40, wind chill near 30. Northwest wind 10-20 mph with gusts to 35 mph.

Overnight Tuesday Night:  Winter cold, clear sky. Lows around 20, wind chill around 10. Northwest wind 8-18 mph.

Wednesday:  Chilly breeze with sun. Highs in the 40s, wind chill 30s. Northwest wind 8-16 mph.

Thursday (Thanksgiving Day):  Much milder with a blend of sun and clouds. Highs in the 50s. West wind 2-8 mph.
