Daily Forecast: Some Spots Dazzle With Over a Foot of Snow Ahead of Bright, Cold Saturday, Mixed Showers Sunday
Daily Forecast: Bitter Cold Tuesday To Rapidly Ease Midweek

Daily Forecast: Not All Cold in New England is Dangerous, But Tuesday Morning Will Be For Some

I rarely use the term "dangerous cold" but Tuesday morning would qualify with subzero wind chill values and the possibility of frostbite within 30 minutes of exposure for areas north of the MA Turnpike Tuesday morning and within 15 minutes in the North Country. By Tuesday afternoon, most spots aren't dangerous, but still will be stinging cold. Full details in the forecast video and remember, in addition to the NBC10 Boston and NECN station apps, to download my personal Matt Noyes Weather app to communicate directly with me!

Today (Monday):  Cold breeze, sun to clouds, flurries. Temperatures in the 20s, wind chill in the teens. West wind 10-20 mph.

Overnight Monday Night:  Frigid wind, flurries. Lows single digits south, below zero north. Wind chill subzero. West-northwest wind 10-20 mph.

Tuesday:  Stinging cold - dangerous in the morning when frostbite is possible with 15-30 minutes of exposed skin.  Sun with Cape Cod ocean-effect snow showers. Highs in the teens. Northwest wind 8-18 mph.

Wednesday:  Increasing clouds, breezy, not as cold. Highs in the 30s south, 20s central, 10s North Country. South-southwest wind 8-18 mph with higher gusts.
