Daily Forecast: Treacherous Ice West...Milder Air En Route...Snowstorm Likely En Route, Too

Treacherous icing due to freezing rain in Connecticut had me suggesting folks not travel in parts of the state this morning, while that freezing rain is expected to expand northeast today. Today (Wednesday):  Showers, pockets of Northern New England freezing rain showers. Highs in the 40s. South wind 10-20 mph with gusts to 40 mph on Cape Cod.

Overnight Wednesday Night:  Gradual clearing, North Country scattered snow bursts. Lows in the 30s. Southwest wind 4-14 mph.

Thursday:  Becoming mostly sunny. Highs in the 30s. West-southwest wind 5-15 mph.

Friday:  First Alert for accumulating snow. Highs around 30. Northwest wind 10-20 mph.
