Daily Forecast: Heat and Humidity to Culminate in Strong Tuesday Storms For Some

Today (Monday):  Hot, humid, breezy late, isolated PM thunder. Highs in the 90s, heat index around 100°. Southwest wind 10-20 mph with higher gusts.

Overnight Monday Night:  Sticky, bit breezy, passing shower or thunder. Lows in the 70s. Southwest wind 10-18 mph.

Tuesday:  Very humid, AM showers in Northern New England diminish, while PM storms fire in Central/Southern New England with torrential rain, lightning and locally damaging wind. Highs 95-100°, heat index 100°+. Southwest wind 10-16 mph with higher gusts.

Wednesday:  Much cooler and less humid with lots of clouds, limited sun and scattered showers. Highs in the 70s, 80s in CT and Western MA. North-northeast wind 4-12 mph.
