Daily Forecast: Happy Thanksgiving! Cool, Dry and Quiet Today, Showers Friday & Saturday

Quiet and dry Thanksgiving weather gives way to showers - some mixed with snow and freezing rain north - on Friday...then a bright Saturday and showers return Sunday.  Some minor coastal flooding is possible at midday high tides Thursday, Friday and Saturday with a new moon resulting in a perigean spring tide.  Full details in the forecast video and remember, in addition to the NBC10 Boston and NECN station apps, to download my personal Matt Noyes Weather app to communicate directly with me!

Today (Thanksgiving Day):  Fair, quiet wind. Highs in the 40s. Light and variable wind.

Overnight Thursday Night:  Clouds thicken. Lows in the 30s. Southwest wind 4-12 mph.

Friday:  Clouds with showers mid-morning to late afternoon - an early mix with a touch of freezing rain and snow in Northern New England. Breezy. Highs in the 50s. Southwest wind 8-18 mph, gusting to 30 mph late on Cape Cod, then shifting to blow from the northwest by evening.

Saturday:  Bright and breezy.  Highs in the 40s to near 50, 30s north. Northwest wind 8-18 mph.

Sunday:  Cloudy with showers arriving from southwest to northeast, late morning to afternoon, respectively, lasting through the night. Highs in the 50s south, 40s north.

Monday:  Any early AM showers exit for clouds and sun. Highs in the 50s south, 40s north.
