Daily Forecast: Midweek Snow Could Reach a Foot in the Mountains

Today (Monday):  Bright sun with a brisk breeze. Highs 40-45, wind chill in the 30s with northwest gusts to 30 mph. Northwest wind 6-14 mph.

Overnight Monday Night:  Quieting wind, partly cloudy and cold. Lows in the 20s. North-northwest wind 4-8 mph.

Tuesday:  Sun to clouds. Night rain arrives, mixed with snow well inland. Highs in the 40s. Light and variable wind.

Wednesday:  Early mixed precipitation with deep inland/hilly terrain snow and rain elsewhere transitions to all rain in Southern New England while snow continues to fly in Northern New England away from the coast, where 6"-12" of snow is expected. Highs around 60° Cape Cod, 50° Boston area, 40s for many and 30s North Country. East wind 8-18 mph.
