Daily Forecast: Once-Hurricane Nicole Remnant Delivers Rain & Wind to Start the Weekend

Nicole's remnant actually strengthens a bit with regard to wind gust speed as it arrives to New England, largely because it becomes non-tropical, merging with a cold front that marks the start of a brand new, cool pattern Sunday through next week. Today (Friday): Cloudy, late day showers arrive from southwest to northeast. Highs around 70. South wind 6-14 mph.
Overnight Friday Night: Rain, downpours, thunder, windy. Lows in the 60s. South wind 10-20 mph, gusts to 45 mph.
Saturday: AM rain and wind, then midday and afternoon clearing. Mild, highs around 70. Southwest wind becomes west-northwest 10-20 mph with early gusts to 45 mph, 55 mph on Cape Cod.
Sunday: Much cooler, lots of clouds, limited sun, a few showers. Highs around 50. Northwest wind 4-14 mph.
Monday: Sun & clouds, cool. Highs only in the 40s.
