Daily Forecast Video: Colder Air Flexes South Wednesday Night Into Thursday

A sharp contrast between cool air north and mild air south is setting up directly over Southern New England Tuesday and Wednesday. I'm tracking a few icy spots Tuesday morning from Western MA to Central and Western NH into Central and Southern VT, otherwise plain rain is expected.  Full details in the forecast video and remember, in addition to the NBC10 Boston and NECN station apps, to download my personal Matt Noyes Weather app to communicate directly with me!

Today (Wednesday):  Cloudy. AM showers depart, evening rain returns. Patchy fog. Highs in the 40s. Light and variable wind.

Overnight Wednesday Night:  Rain, patchy fog. Mountain mix of snow north, ice pellets for many, rain south. Lows in the 40s, 30s far north. Northeast wind 6-16 mph.

Thursday:  Early rain to showers and drizzle, icy spots north and west, mountain mix to snow showers. Highs in the 40s south, 30s elsewhere. Northeast wind 6-16 mph.

Friday:  Scattered snow and rain showers. Highs around 40°, 30s north. Northeast wind 2-8 mph, becoming light and variable late.
