A sharp contrast between cool air north and mild air south is setting up directly over Southern New England Tuesday and Wednesday. I'm tracking a few icy spots Tuesday morning from Western MA to Central and Western NH into Central and Southern VT, otherwise plain rain is expected. Today (Wednesday): Cloudy. AM showers depart, evening rain returns. Patchy fog. Highs in the 40s. Light and variable wind.
Overnight Wednesday Night: Rain, patchy fog. Mountain mix of snow north, ice pellets for many, rain south. Lows in the 40s, 30s far north. Northeast wind 6-16 mph.
Thursday: Early rain to showers and drizzle, icy spots north and west, mountain mix to snow showers. Highs in the 40s south, 30s elsewhere. Northeast wind 6-16 mph.
Friday: Scattered snow and rain showers. Highs around 40°, 30s north. Northeast wind 2-8 mph, becoming light and variable late.
