A mild respite for New England allows for a couple of days of melting, but new snow is on the way for many - especially in Central and Northern New England - late this week. Today (Tuesday): Sun to clouds. Evening showers develop. Highs in the 40s. West wind becomes southwest, 4-10 mph.
Overnight Tuesday Night: Showers dwindle to sprinkles. Lows in the 30s. Southwest wind 4-10 mph.
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, occasional sprinkles & light showers, late day clearing. Highs in the 40s. West wind becomes west-northwest at 12-16 mph.
Thursday: Clouds to PM showers and evening/night rain in Southern New England, snow in Central and Northern New England. Several inches of snow possible overnight in snow areas. Highs near 40, 30s north. Northwest breeze becomes variable at 2-10 mph.
