Daily Forecast Video: Flooding Rains Give Way to Brief Breather - Then Showers Return, Plus May Monthly Forecast

After significant flooding in Maine with over 55,000 power outages in the Pine Tree State, all of New England gets a brief breather Monday for some sun with a gusty wind, but rain returns Tuesday through Friday as occasional showers and pockets of periodic rain. Today (Monday): An early shower and an evening shower, otherwise fair, pleasant and gusty. Highs around 60°. Southwest wind 12-20 mph with gusts to 35...gusts to 50 at times on Cape Cod.
Overnight Tonight: Partly cloudy. Lows in the 40s. South wind 2-8 mph.
Tuesday: Numerous showers. Highs in the 50s. South wind 5-15 mph.
Wednesday: Showers again. Breaks of sun at times in parts of Southern and Southeastern New England. Highs around 50. Southeast and south wind at 2-10 mph.
