Mild air moves in Saturday and challenges the record high of 64 from 1907 in Boston Sunday, ahead of a potent storm that will deliver rain, a chance of thunder, damaging gusts and heavy mountain snow for some.  Full details in the forecast video and remember, in addition to the NBC10 Boston and NECN station apps, to download my personal Matt Noyes Weather app to communicate directly with me!

Today (Friday):  Sun & clouds, quiet air. Highs around 40. Light and variable wind.

Overnight Tonight:  Wispy clouds. Lows around 30. South wind 2-7 mph.

Saturday:  Mostly cloudy, milder, slight chance late sprinkle. Highs around 50. Southeast wind 0-12 mph.

Sunday:  Mostly cloudy, developing showers & gusty breeze. Highs around 60. South wind 10-20 mph with higher gusts.  Night rain, thunder and damaging wind gusts possible.

Monday:  Early rain and possible thunder with damaging southerly gusts over 55 mph possible in Eastern New England, then clearing for midday and afternoon with temperatures falling from around 60 early to the 40s.
