January 03, 2011
Monday evening's first weathercast included 2010 year-end weather statistics for Boston (and you can link to the complete summary of 2010 Southern New England from the National Weather Service by clicking here to see our NECN Weather Team Blog), and a look to the return of colder air this week, as well as the likelihood for some snow later this week. To see the video technical discussion outlining my thoughts on the potential development of a Norlun Trough Friday, see the streaming video at the top of my Weather Analysis Page.

Keep in mind that part of the reasoning for a broader accumulation is the presence of a northeast wind Friday into Friday night for many areas, which blows off the ocean and should provide at least some snow for many areas, regardless of Norlun Trough placement.
