A Busy Friday: Peak Foliage for Some, Closing Weekend at Topsfield, Marathon Monday & 10-day Through Next Weekend!
It's a busy holiday weekend for outdoor plans - I can't say the weather cooperates entirely but it certainly could be worse! A blast of cooler air arriving Friday evening stays most of the weekend, relaxing by Monday, but giving much of New England a cool feeling Saturday, which borders on raw in Southern New England where showers and sprinkles will come and go. Rain showers expand out of Connecticut and the Berkshires through the rest of Southern New England Sunday afternoon to evening, respectively, likely departing Monday morning. Although precise timing is tough from three days out, from my Friday vantagepoint it looks like the Marathon race route would kick showers out very early Monday morning while they may linger a bit longer in Southeast MA and Cape Cod.
